Alain Boublil is the author of the librettos and lyrics for the musicals\u00a0La R\u00e9volution Fran\u00e7aise<\/strong>,\u00a0Les Mis\u00e9rables<\/strong>,\u00a0Miss Saigon<\/strong>,\u00a0Martin Guerre,<\/strong> and\u00a0The Pirate Queen,<\/strong> all in collaboration with Claude-Michel Sch\u00f6nberg, as well as\u00a0Marguerite<\/strong>\u00a0with music by Michel Legrand. \u00a0He also co-produced the original cast albums of all his shows.\u00a0 He co-wrote the screenplay of the Golden Globe-winning and Oscar-nominated film,\u00a0Les Mis\u00e9rables.<\/strong>\u00a0 He is the author\/lyricist of\u00a0Abbacadabra,<\/strong>\u00a0a fairy tale musical including ABBA classic songs, of the stage adaptation of the Demy\/Legrand film,\u00a0Les Demoiselles de Rochefort<\/strong>, as well as author of the musical play, Manhattan Parisienne<\/strong>, and the play,\u00a0The Diary of Adam and Eve<\/strong>.\u00a0 He wrote a prize-winning French novel,\u00a0Les dessous de soi<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Born in 1944 of Hungarian parents, Claude-Michel Sch\u00f6nberg began his career in France as a singer, writer and producer of pop songs.\u00a0 In collaboration with Alain Boublil, he is the book co-writer and the composer of La R\u00e9volution Fran\u00e7aise<\/strong>, Les Mis\u00e9rables<\/strong>, Miss Saigon<\/strong>, Martin Guerre<\/strong> and The Pirate Queen<\/strong>.\u00a0 In 2008 his musical, Marguerite,<\/strong> in collaboration with Alain Boublil, Michel Legrand and Herbert Kretzmer opened at the Haymarket Theatre in London. Claude-Michel has supervised overseas productions and co-produced several international cast albums of his shows.\u00a0 In 2001 he composed his first ballet score, Wuthering Heights<\/strong>, which was created by the Northern Ballet in 2002.\u00a0 His ballet, Cleopatra,<\/strong> which opened in 2011, was his second collaboration with David Nixon and his seventh complete score.\u00a0 In 2012 Claude-Michel co-wrote the screenplay and reconceived the music for the Les Mis\u00e9rables <\/strong>musical movie.\u00a0 His shows have won many awards over the years, most recently the WhatsonStage audience awards for Best West End Show and Best Musical Revival for the London production of Miss Saigon<\/strong>.\u00a0 Golden Globe winner, Oscar nominee and Grammy award winner for his outstanding contribution to the creative community, Mr. Sch\u00f6nberg and Alain Boublil were honoured at a New York Pops gala concert in Carnegie Hall celebrating their 40-year collaboration.\u00a0 Mr. Sch\u00f6nberg was appointed Visiting Professor of Contemporary Theatre at St. Catherine\u2019s College, Oxford University \u2013 a position funded by the Mackintosh Foundation \u2013 and is now an Emeritus Fellow.\u00a0 He is an Honorary Member of the Royal Academy of Music where he is a guest Professor.\u00a0 Mr. Sch\u04e7nberg married the English ballerina, Charlotte Talbot, in 2003. Enda Markey was born in Dublin, Ireland. He trained on a scholarship to Laine Theatre Arts in London, studying on the musical theatre course.<\/p>\n

Following his training, Enda worked as a singer and actor in Ireland and the UK. In 2002, Enda moved to Australia and worked extensively on television, theatre, concerts, and cabaret around the country.<\/p>\n

His production company, Enda Markey Presents, has offices in London and Sydney. Gerard Salonga is currently Resident Conductor of the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra in Kuala Lumpur, a position he has held since January 2019. For two seasons he served as Assistant Conductor of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra from 2016 to 2018 where he was appointed by Maestro Jaap van Zweden, having been selected from a field of over 170 international applicants.\u00a0 He also served as Music Director of the ABS-CBN Philharmonic Orchestra in Manila from 2012 to 2020.\u00a0 In January of 2021, Gerard began his term as the Music Director of the Orchestra of the Filipino Youth (OFY).<\/p>\n

He has assisted and covered distinguished conductors such as Jaap van Zweden, Jun M\u00e4rkl, Hans Graf, Yu Long, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Mark Wigglesworth, and Leonard Slatkin, and has conducted the Philippine Philharmonic, Shanghai Opera House Orchestra and Chorus, Kunming Nie-Er Symphony, Evergreen Symphony of Taiwan, Thailand Philharmonic, Bangkok Symphony, Singapore Symphony, South Denmark Philharmonic, Queensland Camerata, Orchestra Victoria, and the Sydney Symphony Orchestra.\u00a0 Gerard has also conducted in iconic venues such as the Sydney Opera House and Royal Albert Hall.<\/p>\n

He has conducted a wide range of performances, covering symphony, ballet, opera, pops, family, and film including the Harry Potter<\/strong>, Raiders of the Lost Ark<\/strong> and Ratatouille<\/strong> films in concert, plus several Disney concerts.\u00a0 His orchestral arrangements have been performed by orchestras such as the Hong Kong Philharmonic, Sydney Symphony, Singapore Symphony, Malaysian Philharmonic, RT\u00c9 Concert Orchestra, New York Pops, Guangzhou Symphony, Winnipeg Symphony, Cincinnati Pops, Indianapolis Symphony, BBC Symphony, and Royal Philharmonic.\u00a0 Gerard has also collaborated as arranger or conductor across different styles with artists like Lea Salonga, Lang Lang, Sumi Jo, Regine Velasquez, Wang Leehom, Wu Tong, Cecile Licad, Zia Hyunsu ShinTengku Irfan, Paul Archibald, Hacken Lee, Anthony Lun, Elisa Chan, Ivana Wong, Michael Ball, Blake, Il Divo, Danielle de Niese, TaikOz, Ksenija Sidorova, Shen Yang, <\/span>Ll\u0177r Williams, <\/span>James Ehnes, Jan Lisiecki, and The Beach Boys.<\/span><\/p>\n

In 2012 Gerard was honoured as one of The Outstanding Young Men (TOYM), the Philippines\u2019 highest civilian award to achievers under the age of 40.\u00a0 In 2021 he was named one of the recipients of the SUDI National Music Awards by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA).<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Eddie is an Australian-born director, writer and actor. The first musical he appeared in was Les Mis\u00e9rables<\/strong>, so he is thrilled to be back working on this material. Recent directing credits include short films Weather or Not<\/strong>, <\/i>The Singing Telegram<\/strong> and Co-Star<\/strong>. <\/i>Eddie was the associate director of Heathers: The Musical<\/strong> in Australia and has directed many concerts across Australia. Peter Rubie is a Lighting Designer based in Sydney, Australia and a 2007 graduate of the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts. With over 15 years of design experience, he has a passion for delivering dynamic lighting designs for a wide variety of live performance styles including dance, theatre, cabaret, circus, events, art installations and musicals which are regularly seen on stages and events worldwide. Leaning heavily on music as the starting inspiration for his designs, Peter has created work with many international and Australian artists including Tina Arena, Lea Salonga, Reuben Kaye, Ben Folds, The Proclaimers and Paloma Faith<\/i>.\u00a0No stranger to large scale concerts, Peter works regularly with large ensembles and orchestras across the country helping to bring fusions of classical and contemporary music including shows for Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Australian Brandenburg Orchestra, Pinchgut Opera, Sydney Opera House, Circa and Adelaide Festival.<\/i> Over the last few years, he has designed for a number of musical theatre productions including both ONCE<\/strong>\u00a0and A Chorus Line<\/strong> for\u00a0<\/i>Darlinghurst Theatre Company and Thrones! A Musical Parody<\/strong> for Sydney Opera House.\u00a0\u00a0 Peter was the Festival Lighting Designer for the\u00a0Sydney International Cabaret Festival<\/i>and Kabarett Haus<\/i>\u00a0for the Perth International Arts Festival<\/i>. Bobby Garcia is a multi hyphenate Director, Producer and Casting Consultant. He has worked in film, television, stage and live concert entertainment, directing over 50 plays and musicals in Canada and throughout the Asian region including mainland China, Hong Kong SAR, Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, and Singapore. He founded one of Asia’s most prolific and successful theatre companies, Atlantis Productions\/Atlantis Theatrical Entertainment Group in 1999. He was also an Associate Director for Miss Saigon<\/strong> (2000\/2001) and was Hong Kong Disneyland’s first show director opening the park in 2005.<\/p>\n

Bobby represented casting for Cameron Mackintosh in the Philippines for the revival of Miss Saigon<\/strong> and the UK Tour.<\/p>\n

In addition to Cameron Mackintosh Ltd., Bobby has also been a casting consultant in the Asian region for the National Theatre of London and the Broadway production of Here Lies Love<\/strong>\u00a0(Tara Rubin Casting) directed by Alex Timbers, the Broadway revival of M.Butterfly<\/strong> (Telsey + Co) directed by Julie Taymor, the International Tour of Disney’s The Lion King<\/strong>\u00a0(Disney Theatrical International) directed by Julie Taymor, the London revival\/UK Tour of The King and I<\/strong> (James Orange Casting) directed by Bartlett Sher and the film Conclave<\/strong> (Nina Gold Casting\/ House Productions). He is the winner of three Aliw Awards for Direction (live entertainment awards in the Philippines) and has been inducted into their Hall of Fame.<\/p>\n

As a producer, Bobby has spearheaded over 65 productions (including 20 international premieres) in the Asian region. On Broadway, he was a co-producer of the groundbreaking and historic musical Here Lies Love<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
