DAVID EZRA

David is thrilled to be back in Manila after his 3 year stint as a vocalist in Hong Kong Disneyland! One of his generation’s fastest-rising leading men and strongest vocalists, David Ezra has won the ALIW Best Actor in a Musical for two consecutive years, 2017 and 2018, and was also awarded 2016 Best New Artist.  He secured his premiere romantic lead status when he bagged the role of Ah Tiong in Binondo, a Tsinoy Musical. Other notable theatre credits include  La Estrella: A Night of Music and Flamenco, as Heneral Emilio Aguinaldo in Tanghalang Pilipino’s Mabining Mandirigma, and as Aurelio in Aurelio Sedisyoso: A Rock Sarswela. David most recently showed off his knack for comedy and impressive dance moves as Buddy in Atlantis Theatricals production of Side Show, and essayed the role of Solomon in the Asian Premiere of the new Broadway musical Song of Solomon in Dumaguete. David also does solo acts for corporate shows and private events across the country. Significant performances include the 2018 ASEAN Summit, where he sang alongside the country’s top artists for world leaders, and numerous concerts musically directed by Maestro Ryan Cayabyab with the ABS-CBN Philharmonic Orchestra. Undeniably versatile, he attributes this to his training in the University of Santo Tomas, Conservatory of Music.

David recently played the role of Hector in the multi-award-winning musical Ang Huling El Bimbo which played at Resorts World Manila and as Orly in Himala, Isang Musikal. David Ezra’s extensive repertoire ranges from pop, jazz, standards, Broadway showtunes, OPM, Disney, kundiman and classical. A total performer, David is also a musician and event host.
