MICHAEL WILLIAMS

With an extensive list of credits spanning over four decades, Michael has been an integral part of the Philippine theatre landscape since 1982. His journey began at Repertory Philippines, performing in classics, musicals, comedies, dramas and eventually taking on directorial responsibilities for the company. He turned in many notable performances in productions such as Les Misérables, Man Of La Mancha,  Jekyll and Hyde,  The Crucible, and Kiss Of The Spiderwoman  to name a few.  In 1989, Michael was selected to be a part of the original London cast of Miss Saigon at the esteemed Drury Lane Theater in the West End, under the patronage of producer Sir Cameron Mackintosh. He then went on to perform as the romantic lead Lun Tha in Rogers and Hammerstein’s The King and I , under the direction of Oscar Hammerstein III. As a way of giving back, Michael also keeps himself busy coaching young actors and producing theater productions for two international schools in Manila.

Michael is one of two artistic directors at Newport World Resorts’ Full House Theater Company. He was part of the creative team that mounted the hit musical  Ang  Huling El Bimbo which ran for over 155 performances. He is now currently working with the creative & artistic teams Full House Theater’s latest theatrical offering called Buruguduystunstugudunstuy Ang Parokya Ni Edgar Musical .
